Forest certification, through the UK Woodland Assurance Scheme (UKWAS), provides owners and timber processors with an internationally recognised standard which demonstrates that woodlands are managed sustainably.
UKWAS certified woods can give greater access to the timber markets and, for some timber products, result in a price premium. In addition, certification helps owners demonstrate they are meeting their environmental and social and corporate governance commitments.
Bronwin & Abbey Ltd operates a dual certified scheme audited by the Soil Association to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) standards.
Our services include:
- Pre-certification assessments of woodlands and management procedures
- UKWAS compliant management plans and maps
